Human beings build cities for a better life, while they themselves are changed by the cities which they built unwittingly. City dwellers’ style of life and values are domesticated by this life community, city. This adds some invisible restrictions and fetters to their progress in life.
I try to present problems that confront dwellers at different ages in this serial work. Through 5 persons at different ages and 5 machines of different kinds, I attempt to assemble a feature of modern people’s life. Hopefully, this can let people begin to think their own life now and begin to break through the invisible restrictions that city life brings to us.
