Banana-weave is a weave mixed with cotton and banana fiber.
It's an especial handicraft from one of the Taiwanese aboriginal clans: The Kavalans.
It's also a connection between Kavalan culture and modern society.
The idea is exactly what we want to present. Through the design,
not only we can show everybody the particular culture the Kavalan has,
but also pass on the technique of Banana-weave.
To present the particular culture of the Kavalan and to make use of banana fiber,
we chose loom as our design foundation,
showing the texture ofcotton mixing with banana fiber.
