Rip current is caused geographically by the wave that is gathered by the shore and then moves from shore toward the ocean.
It takes place at calm sea surface. Therefore, it’s very easy for visitors to overlook the potential danger and choose to stay where rip current is likely to occur. They are likely to get tangled by rip current and hard extremely hard time swimming back to the shore.
Prevention is better than cure.
Rip current guards are distributed in offshore area and connected by strings. With the current detection system, we can warn people of the danger when a rip current hits, and remind them to stay away off that area.
