ZEIT WERT GEBEN

Discipline: Communication

Books are really nothing more than extremely long letters to friends, according to the poet Jean Paul. In this spirit, we have created the book ZEIT WERT GEBEN (GIVE TIME A VALUE). It appears on the anniversary of four decades of dm – as a thank-you for commitment, loyalty, constructive criticism and encouragement. The thanks are expressed with philosophical concepts and with inspiring ideas from various artists. The book is intended to incite its readers into further thinking, to inspire them to explore new potentials in themselves and in others. It is a sketchbook of ideas with plentiful free space for the reader’s own thoughts, texts and inspiring concepts.

The 40th anniversary of dm was the occasion to create this very inspiring, fantastic book. It is a love letter that starts from page 1 to the end held together by a nice hot pink color. The typography is very sensitive and although a whole spectrum of colors and graphic elements is used it does not look overdesigned. Every single page is wonderful and very inviting to flip through. By reading the book you will fall in love with it and so did we.
