Discipline: Communication

Presenting German history in a lively manner, breaking new grounds in visitor orientation, promoting scientific excellence: the Deutsches Historisches Museum has set out to be among the most inspiring museums. The new brand design captures this focus through clarity and dynamism of concept. It triggers curiosity while retaining sufficient sobriety. Like characters shaping history, the design elements interact with each other: a broad color range, modern typography and immediate picture language. And a new logo extending a friendly invitation to visitors from everywhere to explore and understand German history in its multiple perspectives.
