The Butterfly Brace is a medical device designed to treat Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis in young girls age 11 to 14. It remedies the visual and functional issues this user group faces that current braces fail to address. Its material choice, sport-like appearance, low profile, comfortable fit, and functional variability render it a necessity for the brace market. This design also takes into account cultural trends toward individuality and self-management by allowing it to be put on, taken off, and maintained easily by young users without constant reliance on an aid, while granting access to community by reducing stigmatization.
