Blind-Touch / Tableware

Blind-Touch
Blind-Touch

When the blind use typical cutlery they have a chance of hurting themselves; we believe that the reason is the size and shape being unfit for them. We decided to modify the grip so that the blind can easily, yet firmly, hold the cutlery when in use. Due to the increase of the pressure area, the user can apply less force to use. As for the general shape, we implemented more curves for a more comfortable feel and to improve efficiency. We also designed to shorten the length of the cutlery and reduce the control area to increase the user’s precision and accuracy when placing food into their mouth.
