Bärenschreck / bear warning system

Bärenschreck
Bärenschreck

Bärenschreck is an emergency device for hikers. The device
gives an alert sound when the hiker meets suddenly a bear. The university of British Columbia
found out that all kind of bears can be chased off with modified bear sounds. The
device works while hiking and also while the hiker is sleeping in a tent. The hiker installs
the device arround the tent and when the bear touches the string, the alert sound turns
on and the blue lights will also chase the bear off. With this device some bear/human accidents
could be avoided in future. Video under https://vimeo.com/44564356
