Areca catechu is also called the Taiwanese Chewing Gum. It is very popular in Taiwan. The conservative estimate of money spending in purchasing acreca catechu in Taiwan exceeds hundreds of billions per year, while the farmers planning the plants reaching 70 thousands. The planning of areca catechu significantly damages the soil
and water conservation of hillside. There is usually lime added to the eating acreca catechu in Taiwan, which is likely to cause cancer. Meanwhile, the areca caterchu itself is also hazardous to health. The design is to make environmental decomposable tableware by areca catechu fiber.
