The Koi Chair

Inspired by the Chinese round-backed armchair and the elegant curve of a swimming koi, with a stackable design for better storage. The concept is to create a chair that is comfortable enough for daily use, can be store as stack chair to save space, while also not shy as a part of the interior design. Wood is chosen as the material for its natural beauty as well the durability. The seat is woven with Pan Chang Knot, a type of Chinese knots, for further Chinese touch. Visible joint between the two pieces of the round-back as a fin-liked decoration connecting the two swimming koi. The height of the round-back is designed to fit the lumbar curve.
