Bai Li, a famous poet lived in Chinese Tang Dynasty, wrote the “A View of the Phoenix Platform in Jinling” to express his emotional perception.
The Neo-Chinese Tang Chair is transformed from the imagery of Empire palace in Tang Dynasty. These visualized vocabularies of design are transformed based on a semantics exploration of this poetry into design elements. Using traditional and unique crafts technique in Taiwan, this chair is formed by wood as primary material with decorative gold foils to achieve the artistic conception of a modern design work.
