When install the traditional track light, user have to insert each fixture's base into the track channel, then twisting the bases to lock them into place. Another type has a arm metal that is twisted to tighten. These processes need to be done on the ceiling while standing on the stairs. It's dangerous and might let user fall down from the stairs.

Magnet track light us a powerful magnet to lock the light fixtures to the track channel. The track channel would be the positive pole, the light fixture would be the negative pole.
