Bird Nest Chair / Armchair

Bird Nest Chair
Bird Nest Chair

The "organic form" chair design was inspired by nature itself. The standing structure of the chair was influenced by the shape and role of the swiftlet. Just like a swiftlet, flying around the nest to protect its young, it also shows how a swiftlet embraces and cares for its young. The cupped hand shaped shell design came from the shape of swiftlet bird’s nest – it is able to hold a person in a protective shell and give the possibility to reconnect with nature, creating a feeling of calm. The gesture of the chair is lively and energetic. It’s suitable to be placed in living room with its contemporary yet homely feel. (http://bit.ly/Wd5hPC)
