The Ambient Task Lamp project was inspired by the evolution of media used at our work and home offices. Most modern work spaces include a computer, and we also work with analog information such as product samples, printed media, or hand written notes. The lamp is designed to satisfy these requirements by providing direct and indirect light. Changing illumination is as quick and easy as switching between monitor and paper, and the lamp is able to provide both illuminations at the same time. With closed wings the uniqe mechanism emits direct light for e.g. reading and in the opened position the LED light is reflected on the top of the wing.
