According to related research, male homosexuals have taken the majority of newly-infected AIDS patients in recent years. AIDS is so common in gay community for two reasons: First, the anus/rectum is very susceptible to cuts and tears while conducting anal sex. This means there is greater chance for infected body fluids to enter the blood stream; moreover, promiscuity is common in gay community. It has been established that the average homosexual male has considerably more partners than the average heterosexual male in their lifetime.
Consistent condoms use can reduce risk of contracting HIV/AIDS in the active sexual lives of gay community.
