Gianna
Gianna

GIANNA is a Chair - Coffee table. It is designed for modern area for instance: a living room, a waiting room of a design studio and a coffee shop. It consists of a curved Plywood slab and a gray vitreous slab. Four Aluminum joints connect these two slabs.
The form is based on purism and the aestheticism of emptiness. The general concept comes from providing multi-functionality. A chair which is also used for leaning and in addition works as a coffee table.
There are four options for safety of vitreous slab:
-Providing 2 cm gap in the top connection area
-Putting an Aluminum frame around the glass
-Using a resistant Glass
-Using a hard Wood
