dreplet / collaborative photovoltaic


Dreplets are placed in public space. Employing organic photovoltaics they produce electricity from sunlight and store it in batteries. Each dreplet comes with two battery packs. Whilst one battery is charged within the solar device the other one is used to charge gadgets on the go. Users publish the position of a dreplet online so that other users may find one and exchange their empty batteries. Thus, an autonomous network of collaborative and renewable energy is established. The ultimate aim of dreplets is to affect consciences by giving people the possibility to take energy matters in their own hands and connect with like-minded ones.
