Root / designed to minimize foodwaste

Root
Root

Food waste contributes to environmental degradation, wasteful usage of resources and social injustice. On a household level, much of the food waste can be avoided through better storage and knowledge.

Root is a storage unit that provides appropriate storage for different kinds of food, with the goal of minimizing food waste.

By sectioning the piece into compartments with different temperatures and humidity, the user can keep food longer. The storage unit provides a clear overlook and increased accessibility.

Furthermore, Root is made from sustainable materials and makes use of technologies from yesterday, today and tomorrow.
