There are currently 7 BILLION people in the world. In 2050 there will be 9 BILLION. With 80% projected to be city dwellers, the UN estimates we will need to double food and meat productions in order to feed everyone. This, according to the head of the UN's Panel on Climate Change, will speed global warming and a looming food crisis. LEPSIS aims to evolve attitudes toward sustainable food production within urban environments by encouraging us to consider grasshoppers and other insects as a sustainable alternative to meat. LEPSIS aids in neatly growing, harvesting and killing grasshoppers before using them for food.
