Buijtenkitchen / Mobile Woodburning Kitchen

Buijtenkitchen

The former bake/cook house was for Studio Elmo Vermijs the inspiration for the Buijtenkitchen. A small house which was used in the yard of a farm, there was a wood oven for baking breads, cakes, pies, etc. for the surrounding community or residents of the farm.
The Buijtenkitchen is a mobile kitchen (to be transported on a trailor wagon) in which a wood-burning oven has the central place. The kitchen will be used for dinners and workshops on location. In addition, it will act as a kitchen where experiments (by local, regional and national cooks) can be done with cooking on wood.
