MAIA is a robotic setup for the minimally invasive surgery. Its primary U-form follows the range of motion of the DLR MIRO robotic arms around the operation table. The single robotic arms can be placed individually on the slide rail by the assistant doctor around the patient. Differences in altitude because of a tilted operation table or a slant positioned patient can be adjusted over the lift columns beneath each single robotic arm. The robotic setup can be fold in the middle and can be stored with minimum space requirements at the wall of the operation room.
