Tri-Bi / Salt and Pepper Shaker

Tri-Bi
Tri-Bi

TriBi was created to become more than a salt & pepper shaker. It was developed through a stylisation process, given sculptural definition. Originally derived from animal characteristics, my aim was for the user to interpret what they believe the form portrays. Not only is TriBi a likable form, it expresses how a salt & pepper shaker should function. Its curvature communicates where the hand and fingers should be placed and how the shaker sits on the table. These two identical forms were produced through a two part molding process. The colour and number of holes are the only distinct differences between the two forms.
