Consand / Consand

Consand
Consand

Consand is a gadget that employs surface technologies and 3d modeling, with the objective of reducing the environmental impact of common sandpapers.
Consand is made of a polymeric material in form of gel obtained from starch. This intelligent material becomes flexible or rigid with electrical stimuli and reproduces surfaces according to the gadget command.
In the sandpaper mode, Consand processes the surface and sends the information to the gel, as 3D pixels, which reproduces the desired grits.
In capture texture mode, Consand can absorb the surface information and reproduce that surface. It's very useful not to carry samples of textures.
