This is a concept for an airless tire for road bicycles. It uses a thermoplastic structure that provides the same spongy, yet firm ride quality as a pneumatic tire. The benefit of this design is that there is no risk of having a blowout, the tire going flat or potholes and road debris ruining your ride. This also means there is no need to carrying extra tubes, pumps, or tires levers and no frustrating moments from having to change a tire. The tires are mounted to an outer rim which is installed on the wheel and held securely in place by interlocking teeth and a lock pin.
