The internationally renowned electronic and techno producer Benjamin Brunn needed a promo tool to make noise in the world of DJs and Booking Agencies and an example with a distinctive design for his producer skills. With the colored tracks on the 4 x 12” records, he wants to create as much a navigation system as a tool: using the color key, DJs can decide which form of techno they want to choose. The four picture discs unroll the complete history of electronic music in 19 tracks. Each style of music is made visual through the allocation of a color. Every color stands for an individual genre and a track is as long as the strip of color is.
