The accidents of mountaineers are increasing recently. Decreasing the damages of mountaineers and increasing the chance of being rescued are important issues for designers.
A belt type of device fixed on the lumbar regions with air bags is designed so as to protect major portions of the mountaineer when falling unintentionally.
The belt is assembled with two different types of modules and the materials of the modules use light metal such as titanium alloy to reduce weight.
