This design study Optism introduces the next phase of automobile design. The aim of this project is the application of multiple dimensional surfaces to automotive surfacing. The inspiration is from Op-Art of the 20th century Modern Art. It is a style of art that makes use of visual kinetics through optical illusion. In the case of the Optism, depending on your viewing angle, you can feel the changing of surfaces and the intelligent architecture which makes up the optimal driving mode.
This design study shows how the future of automotive design can incorporate innovative dimensional aesthetics and visional function.
