What moved the award winners 2020? Take a trip into outstanding design | iF trend exhibition 2020

The iF DESIGN AWARD has been reflecting our environment and our habits since its premiere in 1954. At home, in the office, when traveling or in places of social interaction – design is everywhere. We use it alone, in pairs, in the family, with friends and acquaintances or in an anonymous crowd. The discipline of design has changed rapidly over the years. It has become more comprehensive, more networked and at the same time more focused. Just like the world around us.

Precisely because the design is changing so rapidly, we placed a burning glass on the winning entries in the iF DESIGN AWARD 2020 and identified outstanding trends in the competition. We uncovered eight trend areas and curated suitable products and projects.

What moved the award winners 2020? Take a trip into outstanding design | iF trend exhibition 2020

"Welcome to our first digital iF trend exhibition! The iF DESIGN AWARD is always a trend barometer that reflects all kinds of novelties and tendencies in the design world. These are all trends that lead to global discussions on the future of economy and society – but also, and when it comes to innovation – design and its effects: How will we communicate in the future? What is the best mobility in cities? How are technical innovations influencing our personal lives and health? And how can a modern workplace improve my productivity and work-life balance? To name a few.

Immerse yourself in the design trends of the year 2020 and let yourself be inspired - to imagine (daily) life from new perspectives and to see what design can do!"
