attracts even more design enthusiasts and professionals from all over the
We are happy to announce our long-term strategic partnership between iF Design and BERLIN DESIGN WEEK. Starting in 2020, we are moving and thus consolidating the iF design award ceremony and exhibition as well as the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK – to May 2020 (30 April to 10 May).
Designers, manufacturers, institutions and companies can profit from this great opportunity and become a part of BERLIN DESIGN WEEK!
Berlin is the perfect home for these kinds of events. Here, we should put an emphasis on “feeling at home with design”: The creative community of the city is growing rapidly. As the latest numbers show: Berlin has 4,400 design companies working in the fields of industrial, product, fashion, graphic and communication design and 12,700 employees in the design sector. More than 195,000 people are working in creative businesses, which is 10 percent of the all employees in Berlin’s creative industries (2016). With events and fairs like the fashion week or design week, Berlin is continuously the capital of design.

BNDNWK, initiated in 2018 by Alexandra Klatt, Nadine Seidler and Matthias Leonhardt, is a platform and exhibition format for contemporary design, which promotes dialog between design, research, education, business and industry in order to create new synergies. The main focus of BNDNWK lies in raising issues around ecological and social sustainability and looking at how these can be examined and solved by a creative culture of innovation. National and international players from design, business and industry in various fields of design are invited to take part in the annual BNDNWK.
