iF GATHERING SEOUL: “HOW TO SURVIVE AS A DESIGNER”

25 Jul 2019 / Heyground B1 Changemakers (5, Ttukseom-ro 1na-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea), KR

The world is unpredictable changing day by day, with rapid development and unlimited diversity and convergence. It is not surprising at all the AI creates a logo and poster by itself, or 3D printer produces daily necessity. Everyone can be a designer or creator if you’ve got a computer, mobile or tablet. As most of 'design' becomes easy, accessible and standardized, “Good design” is in everywhere, but "new design" is hard to find. People might start to doubt the true worth of design (or designer), which jeopardize the place of designer. This means that the value, reward, recognition and protection for designers are desperately needed more than ever. How can we survive as a designer? This year, iF branch Office Korea is holding a networking event to hear interesting experiences, successful stories and practical advice among professional designers who are actively engaged in various fields. The event would help not only getting to know each other, but also sympathizing with other designers and expanding their business ties.
