2 of 14 - Two Female Cologne Artists at Bauhaus

12 Apr - 11 Aug 2019 / MAKK - Museum for Applied Arts, An der Rechtschule, Cologne, DE

The exhibition honors the work of the ceramic artist Margarete Heymann-Loebenstein (1899-1990) in combination with stage designs by her cousin Marianne Ahlfeld-Heymann (1905-2003), both of whom studied at the Bauhaus in dialogue with color studies, paintings, drawings and sculptures by Johannes Itten, Oscar Schlemmer, Wassiliy Kandinsky or László Moholy-Nagy from their own collection.
