The iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD is one of the most important design prizes for students from all over the world, with about 10,000 submissions each year. Together with our sponsors, iF provides the platform for talented young designers and their future-oriented concepts. Once winners have been chosen and the prize money awarded, all winning entries are published in the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE.
From now on, the competition categories correspond to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. That’s the reason why we are looking for submissions that address the most pressing challenges facing our society. The registration for the first round is closed now. The jury session will start in March 2020. The best entries win a share of prize money of EUR 50,000 (total). Stay tuned!
>> The registration for the second round is open now until 15 July 2020!

Students and recent graduates often find it difficult to protect their designs against copyright infringements. Therefore, we recommend the following institutions that can help you with protecting your designs, depending on country or region of origin.
The Trade Mark Designs and Registration Office of the European Union (OHIM), located in Alicante, Spain, offers effective protection against copyright infringement. As soon as your design is registered as a community design, it will be protected in each European Union member state.
