Berlin Design Week 2021

New start for the partnership signed in 2019 between iF Design and BERLIN DESIGN WEEK from 27 May to 6 June 2021 in Berlin. Alexandra Klatt's team is currently curating the BNDNWK program from digital and live events on the subject of "New Traditions". The focus is on the power of design to initiate processes of social change. Designers, artists, studios, cultural institutions, universities and companies can apply to participate until the end of March. 

"Design Pool" is the temporary showroom during BNDNWK for insider tips in design and craftsmanship. Selected up-and-coming designers, high quality productions in small series can be discovered and purchased in the BIKINI Berlin concept shopping mall from 27th to 29th of May daily from 10:00 to 20:00.

About the Berlin Design Week

About the Berlin Design Week

The BERLIN DESIGN WEEK was initiated by state of DESIGN e.V.. This association stands for aspects of next generation design and has been regularly conceiving exhibitions, talks, symposia, and lecture series since 2016. In the year of the Corona crisis in 2020, state of DESIGN UG was founded and - in close cooperation with state of DESIGN e.V. - fills a gap in the Berlin design calendar with the format of the BNDNWK and turns the entire city into its field of action.

Design is seen as a response to societal and ecological changes, which serves to highlight its vital role in managing the greatest challenges we currently face. Business, research and decision makers need the creative power of design, its fresh ideas, new strategies and concepts for a changing society and vice versa.
