50 years of iF Design Awards: Congrats Seca!

Congratulations on 50 years of iF awards to Seca! The German world leader in medical measurement and weighing has won 22 iF design awards since 1969!

Due to its high degree of specialization, Seca is still one of the hidden champions. Seca develops, produces and sells scales, linear encoders and measuring units for measuring body composition. Seca’s approximately 100 different medical devices are exported to more than 110 countries.

This and design in general absolutely matches the company’s philosophy, as their CEO Frederik Vogel puts it: “We believe that the safety and well-being of the patient are the highest assets when it comes to health. Making them starts in the smallest parts - with every gram, every millimeter, every decimal place and every single heartbeat we measure. Because when it comes to medical assessments and decisions, then there is no "approximately". That is why precision always comes first for us!"

Seca 286 / 287 ultrasonic measuring station determines a person’s weight and height with utmost precision. Ultrasonic sensors contactlessly record a patient’s height in milliseconds, and the results are transmitted wirelessly. An optional voice guidance system enables patients to independently measure themselves.
