The winners in the first round of the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD 2017 have now been officially announced. A panel of experts has named the world’s most talented young and up-and-coming designers and awarded them the iF label.
There were close to 9,000 entries from 48 countries from around the globe in this design competition. 58 got the label – 28 of the particularly creative concepts were also awarded with part of the purse.
Registrations for the second part of the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD 2017 are still welcome until 20 June 2017.
The iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD is one of the biggest and most prestigious competitions for young designers in the field of design worldwide. Starting immediately, it takes place twice a year (Part 1 + Part 2). In each half year, a different focus is placed on different topics. A sum of € 5,000 is awarded for each topic (a total of EUR 40,000 for all).
In the first round of the competition, 8,721 projects from a total of 48 countries from around the world were received on the following topics:
Students and recent graduates in all fields of design and architecture took on the challenge and used their opportunity to draw attention to themselves and have their works examined by an international jury of experts.

All of the award-winning concepts will be presented for an unlimited time in the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE, the world’s largest design exhibition on the internet.
This free app also displays all the prize-winning concepts in detail in word and image.
The 58 best competition entries are presented here as posters and digitally on the surf tables and monitors in the rooms of the iF design exhibition in Hamburg.
