Vita

Erik Magnussen was born 1940. Educated as a ceramist at the Danish School of Applied Arts an Design in Copenhagen. He worked for porcelain manufacturer Bing & Groendahl. for a number of years and among his latest works is furniture for Fritz Hansen. Erik Magnussen's designs are exhibited in museums throughout the world and he has been awarded numerous design prizes, one of them by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization. Characteristic of Erik Magnussen's approach is his thorough command of materials and production facilities. (2006)
