Christoph Böninger

Christoph Böninger studied industrial design in Munich and Los Angeles. As part of his diploma thesis, he designed the world´s first notebook, which is now on display at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. After completing his studies, he set up a design department for Siemens in the USA and worked as a Design Manager and General Manager at Siemens until 2006. He also designed numerous pieces of furniture, some of which have been accepted into the permanent collections of design museums. In 2010 he founded AUERBERG, an author´s label for designers and architects. Starting from 1997, he was Member of the Board for iF Industrie Forum Design e.V. Since April 2018 Christoph is Member of the Board of the new iF Design Foundation.
