Monospace / expansion of the FU Berlin

Monospace
Monospace

The project aim was to create a building at the Freie Universität in Berlin which meets the different needs of the students. The challenge was to realize the project in one single room also called monospace. So we could carry the idea of the FU architects on to keep a visual relationship between the different work spaces and these with different activitylevels. After a student survey we developed a room concept which combines group interactions, individual work and recreation as well as a coffee shop and a place to meet in only one room, where the individual areas are only defined through the different arrangement and diameters of the columns
