'Falter' / washing machine

'Falter'
'Falter'

The washing machine 'Falter' is part of a compatible appliance series, consisting of stackable cubes of 50 cm³. Intended for young people size, look and handling are customized to their washing and living habits. Wrapped in a thick textile the object gets a new livable look. Further it hides all technical elements, especially the plugs at the back, allowing to place it anywhere in the room. Moreover its soft touch changes the contact between user and machine. Effects give a feedback and make 'Falter' seem animated. Thus it is more than just a technical device. Reduced to basic the control is simple, but can be completed by smartphone.
