Green bookshelves, cashier counters and storage share the same space with grey concrete. The bright green joinery includes randomly arrayed cabinets which have been designed to hang from the ceiling. The five elements of ancient China have influenced the color scheme, with green representing the wood used to manufacture books. The green and black lights and network of the green cords above represent the messy power lines in old Chinese alleyways. These lines connect to families in China just as books connect generations through knowledge. The group of more than ten types of chairs in different forms creates a random “mix and match” effect.
