Discipline: Product

We have tested full-scale models and done interviews with people concerned to solve these issues – the result is a key layout, a GUI that lets the operator focus on the diagnosis, a movable monitor and operating panel to reduce the operator's physical burden and a compact size that allows easy placement and portability. We also aimed to create a smart-looking, less-intimidating design so that patients could relax during scans.

Demographic changes in the labor markets are becoming increasingly important when hiring highly skilled personnel. User-oriented design in the sense of universal design will be crucial in tomorrow’s work environments. Japanese designers and manufacturers have delivered outstanding work in this area for many years.
