Because filling up your car on electricity takes longer, stations of the future will have to accommodate the requirements of extended waiting periods.
The “charging station of the future” will become a meeting place, for a break, a coffee, or a snack. – And on the Design Miami/ a walk-in design object.
The e-tron Spyder is presented as a dynamic way to leave the fuel-dependent past behind, embedded in the scenography of an archetypical and yet modified charging station. The futuristic metal coating transforms it into an unreal, soon to be outdated type of construction. The fuel pump – locked into a glass cabinet morphs into a museum piece.
