e.Sense / kitchenware

e.Sense

Often times people throw away food simply, because they donŽt want to risk eating a
rotten carrot.
The Best Before Date on packaging is simply an estimate and most of the time food lasts
longer than anticipated. There is no way to know when your food will expire. Many people
rely on their five senses to tell them if their food has expired. However, our five senses
deceive us.
e.Sense will be a reliable helper for consumers to realize the state of their food.
The device contains a sensor that detects the gas released by the food and tells the user
by a light on the top whether or not the food is viable.
