Life Gap / Tickets

Life Gap
Life Gap

Due to accidents caused by platform gaps, designers should provide special warnings when auditory warnings fail: language problems, neglecting, etc. The gap is a one-millimetre-wide slit in the card with 2 round holes as endpoints. IC cards, usually made of elastic plastic, can easily become arc-shaped when bended. When the card is bended, the gap expands. With other visual aids, such expanded gaps can remind passengers of the hazards of the platform gaps, despite the problems of language and neglecting.
