Specifically designed spike cleated shoe for ice running and orienteering. Surrounding rubber is designed to reduce pressure on spikes and therefore make them less prone to break from the shoe which is seen as a major problem for all major branded shoes with spikes. When the spike is needed to penetrate hard ground, the softer rubber can retreat and not inhibit the spike's use but also work together to give a larger surface area of contact for stability and even wear. Surrounding non spiked cleats are level with the spike tips to also reduce pressure on the spikes. The five prong shank allows the foot to flex while protecting underfoot.
