Kent Sampling Box / Cigarette packet

Kent Sampling Box

Discipline: Packaging

Burgopak Germany was designing this give-away cigarette packet especially for British American Tobacco, Hamburg, as part of a marketing campaign for the Austrian market. A smart technical detail is its elegant one hand operated sliding mechanism. When opening, cigarettes of various flavours are lowered out of the top of the packet, ready to hand. Simultaneously, an invisible magnet is releasing a back sided flap that flips open. By closing it, cigarettes are retracted as smoothly as they appeared, the back sided flap is closed and part of the packet again.
