Berlin 28 May 2008. 650 high-ranking guests attended the award ceremony for the “Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Prize”. The central element of the protocol event was a five by thirty meter projector screen surface that crossed the entire room – the Fraunhofer Runway of the Future. It collected research impulses from the auditorium, merging them into a concrete project as they crossed the stage, before finally depicting the potential of the innovation on a seven-meter tall screen. At the end of each of these trailers, the prize winners stepped onto the runway, using it as a tool to illustrate details of their specific venture by means of film-clips.
