Klappe zu, Affe tot. / Bookdesign/ Illustration with silkscreen

Klappe zu, Affe tot.
Klappe zu, Affe tot.

The book “Klappe zu, Affe tot.” is a collection of illustrated sayings from all over the world - the right things for the wrong day. It contains 72 double page spreads, screen-printed by hand. The challenge was to find a way of visualising the meaning and the wording of different sayings in an illustrative way. The aim was to create a colorful selection of phrases from all cultures. I only chose one saying per spread, so the artwork has space to entice the viewer. The book is supposed to show an old wisdom that is presented in a modern-individual way.
