The Garden Clubhouse / Interior Planning

We are designing a retirement clubhouse, centralized around an interior garden space with the objective of enhancing the physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellness of seniors. To address this objective we incorporated a range of individual and collective activities, using universal design practices to increase the quality of life for seniors within the garden and clubhouse environment.

Furthermore to address sustainability and low carbon footprint, our design incorporated a range of design approaches to mitigate energy use by integrating natural ventilation, daylighting and passive solar cooling and heating approaches.
