Das virtuelle Minenfeld / Installation

Das virtuelle Minenfeld

Discipline: Interior Architecture

The installation “The virtual Minefield” consists of 600 floor segments (80 x 80 cm each) with scale images of landmines. Observers experience the latent threat of these appalling weapons as they negotiate their way through the minefield. Individual segments can be purchased for a donation of 500 Euros. The proceeds from this exhibition go to medico international mine clearance projects in Afghanistan and Angola. The exhibition has been on tour in Europe since October 2004. After six months more than 100,000 Euros have been raised.
